Georgia Tech: Musician’s Network

PRAXIS3, in collaboration with Amy Landesberg Art and Design, converted the Georgia Tech Student Center’s Music Listening Room into a new home for the Musicians Network, a student-owned and operated music performance venue and recording studio. Situated on the second floor, sandwiched between the Campus Cinema below and the President’s Ballroom above, special care was required in order to acoustically isolate the studios and performance spaces from the rest of the building. The main hall is acoustically shaped to provide a sonically superior venue for a variety of performance types and accommodates large-scale projections at key locations. The Recording Studios are optimized for sound isolation and sound quality and provide state-of-the-art facilities for recording and mixing student music projects.
