UGA: Ramsey Student Center

PRAXIS3 was excited to work with the University of Georgia on the renovation of the Ramsey Student Center. Known by students as “Ramsey,” the 440,000 sf student recreational and athletic facility located on UGA’s East Campus is one of the largest facilities of its type in the United States. PRAXIS3’s objectives were to enhance the overall entry lobby experience, to provide an efficient, centralized check-in center for students and visitors, select new finish and color palette that captures the UGA brand, and to upgrade the administrative office space for the Department of Recreational Sports. Students now enter through the renovated 2 story lobby space that features new floor tiles, a focal check-in desk, branded environmental graphics, and digital displays to show the latest activities taking place on campus. Beyond the desk, visitors enjoy the newly painted 200-foot long corridor with updated signage identifying the basketball courts. The gymnasium features a revised paint scheme that ties to the UGA colors with large format logo placed on the wall that can be seen from the lobby.
